Shop Direct paid £7.2m for Woolies brands

HOME shopping giant Shop Direct, which owns the Littlewoods, Great Universal and Kays brands, paid just over £7m for the brand-name of historic retailer Woolworths, latest accounts at Companies House show.The figures also show the Liverpool-based business, now owned by the Barclay brothers, declared a bottom line loss of £114m in the year to April.
