YORKSHIRE group LSL Property Services today agreed to buy Halifax Estate Agencies, which has around 40 offices across the North West, from banking giant Lloyds for £1.

The deal sees York-based LSL become the second largest estate agency in the UK, absorbing the Halifax chain of 218 estate agency branches into its existing Your Move, Reeds Rains and InterCounty brands.
