LLOYDS TSB Commercial, the arm of Lloyds Banking Group which supports small and medium-sized businesses, has appointed Leigh Taylor as area director for the North West.

LLOYDS TSB Commercial, the arm of Lloyds Banking Group which supports small and medium-sized businesses, has appointed Leigh Taylor as area director for the North West.

He will head up a team of 106 relationship managers which provide dedicated banking services for customers with an annual turnover of up to £15m across Manchester, Preston, Bolton, Liverpool, Chester, and Warrington.

Mr Taylor, who has 29 years’ experience in the banking sector, said: “Now, more than ever, it’s vital that firms in the region maintain a close relationship with their banking partner and professional support network to put them in a strong position.

“We want to ensure that our customers are managing their cash flow, investing in the right places and have access to finance.”

So far in 2009, his team has increased lending to businesses in the area by over 19% year-on-year.

RSM Bentley Jennison has promoted Manchester based financial adviser Vinodh Josh to partner and national head of wealth advisory. 

Vinodh joined the accountancy firm four years ago, following the acquisition of the financial management arm of Robson Rhodes, where he led the Manchester team.

A married father of three, Mr Vinodh said of his new role:“It is a fantastic opportunity for me and I am extremely pleased to take up the challenge.  I am greatly looking forward to developing the firm’s wealth advisory proposition.”

BNP Paribas Real Estate’s Manchester office has expanded its lease advisory and planning teams with the additions of associate director, Anna Pacini and planner, Justin Cove.

Ms Pacini joins BNP Paribas Real Estate from Jones Lang LaSalle, and will undertake rent reviews and lease renewals for both landlord and tenant clients.

Mr Cove joins the team from DTZ and will expand the office’s town planning consultancy service, advising clients in both the public and private sectors.

Dulcie Bolland has also been promoted to associate director with the lease advisory team; Ms Bolland joined BNP Paribas Real Estate in 2004 and carries out rent reviews and lease renewals on industrial and retail properties across the North West.

Andrew Hamilton, head of BNP Paribas Real Estate’s Manchester office, said: “We are keen to develop our service provision to ensure that we can provide clients with a full range of property solutions.  Both Anna and Justin join us with a wealth of specialist knowledge and experience and these appointments along with the richly deserved promotion of Dulcie will help to facilitate the continued growth of the Manchester office.”
