Demand slows at Cyprotex

DRUG discovery firm Cyprotex has seen demand for its services slow in the fourth quarter, usually its strongest period.

In a trading update for the year to December 31 the Macclesfield-based group said there had been less work from existing clients, including its largest customer, but new business enquries had been more buoyant.

The AIM-listed company now expects revenue for the year to be in line with 2008. Chief executive Tony Baxter said he was "disappointed" not to have delivered stronger growth.
