A firm which billed itself as the oldest skip hire business in Blackpool has gone into administration.

Smith's Skip Hire was founded more than 40 years ago and is part of the JAP Group, a Poulton-le-Fylde waste specialist that continues to trade.

Administrators from the Lancaster office of the accountancy firm JM Marriott have been appointed to the business but could not be reached for comment.
