Logistics firm expands into Manchester

Temperature controlled logistics firm Fresh Logistics is opening a depot in Leigh, Manchester.

The new facility adds to the firm’s sites in Derby and Wembley and has been introduced due to an increasing workload in the area and to add an improved response time for the current and future North West customer base, as well as providing links to Scotland.

Managing director Alan White said: “We are entering an exciting phase in our development with this expansion into Manchester.

“We already have a growing customer base in the area, including several major food producers and branches of the NHS, so it was the ideal opportunity to add a new depot which will feature extra top of the range, dual compartment Vans, 7.5ts and 18ts.”

Fresh Logistics was set up in 2008 with seedling finance of just £5,000. It is projecting turnover for this financial year to be in the region of £3.5m.
