NYSE-listed recruiter firm creates 100 new jobs with ‘talent hub’

The Futurestep division of New York Stock Exchange-listed Korn Ferry, the preeminent global recruiter for highly qualified professionals, has opened the doors of its new ‘talent delivery centre’ (TDC) in Manchester, creating 100 jobs.

The new facility will complement Futurestep’s existing hubs and will take a lead role in the company’s regional delivery of senior and specialist recruitment services as part of a partnership agreement with pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

The company says the 100 staff will be in place by late 2017 rising to 150 within the next two years. The centre will be helping to recruit for companies in life sciences, industrial and financial services.

Located in the Spinningfields area of central Manchester and based in an existing office of Korn Ferry, the new TDC staff will be responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through seamless delivery and candidate management directly to clients, including GSK.

Futurestep also has plans for the deployment of consultants exclusively dedicated to its professional search services, delivering single and multiple professional search level hires.
“We’re proud to open up our new talent delivery centre in Manchester,” said Jonathan Brown, managing director, Talent Acquisition Solutions EMEA at Futurestep.  “This will be a core capability for our European recruitment solutions.

“Manchester is a thriving area, full of creativity, talent and commercial vibrancy. Reflecting a north-shoring trend, a number of high profile businesses have made the move there in recent times, cementing its position as a leading commercial hub, not just in the UK, but on the international stage.

“We’re excited by the prospect of seeing our company grow here and being part of Manchester’s continued growth.”
Futurestep’s operations are based in multiple locations around the world, providing technology infrastructure, industry-leading intellectual property, sourcing strategy and end-to-end recruiting resources, plus processes to support its global service delivery model.

The launch of the eighth Futurestep TDC follows those already established in Texas, Buenos Aires, Warsaw, Bangalore, Manila, Shanghai and Auckland.
“The Manchester TDC is a critical piece of our European and global structure,” said Kay Cooper, vice president key accounts at Korn Ferry Futurestep.

“Our clients are increasingly looking for more sophisticated solutions to address talent challenges. The new European hub in Manchester reflects our ambition to support clients with their evolving needs through our broader portfolio of solutions – no matter what area of the talent strategy the challenge comes from.”
