Cloud firm’s half year turnover hits £33m

Paul Shannon, CEO, ANS

Cloud and managed services provider ANS Group has reported a 23% increase in half year pre-tax profits to £3.7m on revenues that have increased 40% to more than £33m.

The Manchester company’s financial results for the half year to the end of September 2016 also show adjusted earnings increased 45% to £5.3m.

The company said it has enjoyed particularly high levels of growth within its managed services division, and continues to see a shift to contracted recurring revenues.

It has also won a significant number of new public and private sector accounts, with a particularly strong performance in higher education.

ANS is expanding its team on the back of this growth, and has already increased headcount to around 300.

Paul Shannon, CEO at ANS, said: “Over the last year we’ve focused on developing our product offering and managed services portfolio and our success in these areas is reflected in our results and margins.

“ANS has evolved into an end-to-end cloud and managed services company. We are currently experiencing significant demand from fast-growth, disruptive technology businesses for both our public and private cloud platforms, as well as our networking capabilities, and we are on track to achieve our targets for the year end.

“We’re pleased to say that as the company has grown, so has our team. We remain committed to addressing the skills gap in the tech sector by investing in talented people, and this has been validated by coming seventh on The Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For list, as voted for by staff.

“Going forward, we will continue to strengthen our team and suite of solutions, ensuring that we provide customers with flexible, state-of-the-art managed networks and cloud platforms upon which they can develop and grow.”

Founded in 1996, ANS is a managed and private cloud service provider with offices in Manchester and London.
