High five new destinations for Irish airline

Holidaymakers can jet off to five new destinations this week with the launch of Ryanair’s Summer 2017 programme from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The Irish airline will be adding Prague, Sofia, Marrakesh, Girona and Bari to its list of hotspots and increasing the frequency of flights on six other services.

Paul Winfield, Director of Air Service Development for Liverpool John Lennon Airport, said: “The start of Ryanair’s Summer ‘17 bringing an expanded programme from here is the latest commitment from Ryanair towards the Airport and the City Region and is a reflection of the confidence that we both have in the opportunities for further growth here.”

The expansion accounts for an extra 15 flights per week and 200,000 more seats on sale from Liverpool, expected to constitute an 11% growth in Ryanair traffic on last year.

This will also mean that Ryanair serves a total of 32 destinations out of Liverpool.

The services which will see an expansion are Warsaw, Gran Canaria, Palma, Faro, Alicante and Malaga.
