Global player Ricoh has arrived at Birchwood Park

Inside 305 Bridgewater Place

Global technology company Ricoh is the latest occupant of Birchwood Park at Warrington.

The company, which boasts worldwide sales of $19.6bn, will occupy 7,500sq ft of office space at 305 Bridgewater Place, according to Patrizia UK, the manager of the business park.

The space has been fitted out to Ricoh’s specifications to reflect a live working environment of the future, focusing on collaboration, contemplation, communication and concentration.

Previously located at Manor Park, Runcorn, the company says it has moved to Birchwood as part of its commitment to attracting and retaining the best talent, recognising that a quality work environment is central to this.

The park’s connectivity to the rest of the North West, and its thriving business community were other key factors contributing to Ricoh’s decision.

Chief executive Phil Keoghan said: “Birchwood Park underlines Ricoh UK’s success in embracing digital transformation and helping our customers to do the same. The new office truly showcases how we have used technology to pioneer the workforce of the future.”

Features of the new office include interactive whiteboards, unified communications and the best in document workflow, making Ricoh’s North West base a hub for flexible, mobile working.

The thinking behind this design was to allow business customers the opportunity to see how digital technologies can transform their workplace.

Employees will now benefit from the wide variety of amenities available at Birchwood Park. 305 Bridgewater Place is just a short walk away from the ‘The Centre’ which includes onsite meeting rooms, a restaurant, Starbucks, gym and communal workspaces.

Martin O’Rourke, commercial director at Birchwood Park, added: “The combination of flexible, high quality office space, landscaped surroundings and strong sense of community we have here offers a holistic approach that continues to attract businesses from near and far – especially those looking to attract and retain the best staff.”
