Media services business dock10 has today announced the appointment of Hannah Entwistle as senior producer in the VFX department.

Entwistle’s previous experience includes a stint as post production producer at Manchester-based production house 422 and as producer for Equinox Film and Television in MediaCityUK. Her most recent experience came as agency producer for McCann Manchester.

Entwistle will work with and manage clients for dock10, while closely collaborating with the business’s industry-leading team of VFX creatives and operators.

Entwistle said: “The VFX team at dock10 is one of the very best in the country. I am looking forward to producing innovative, compelling and exciting work for a broad range of clients.”

dock10 is the UK’s largest post production business outside the capital. Past and ongoing work stretches across television series, including Happy Valley, Dragons’ Den, Match of the Day, Last Tango in Halifax and Blue Peter, and for agencies on behalf of brands including Missguided, Bensons for Beds and Magnet Kitchens.

dock10 provides post production and VFX services to a range of agencies, commercial production companies and corporates.

Wilmslow, Cheshire-based Hilary Meredith Solicitors has continued its fast-paced expansion with the appointment of Kris Inskip as head of clinical negligence.

Inskip joins the firm from Slater and Gordon, where he was a partner and national head of clinical negligence.

Inskip’s arrival follows on from the appointment of Peter Watson as chief executive.

Watson joined from national consumer firm Simpson Millar where he was managing director of legal services following the acquisition of Simpson Millar by Fairpoint PLC in 2014.

Hilary Meredith Solicitors has also recently strengthened its main board with Zoe Holland, managing director of ZebraLC joining as a non-executive director.

Recognised as a leader in the field of claimant clinical negligence in the Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession, Inskip has more than 16 years’ experience acting for claimants in high value, complex cases.

He deals with cases involving serious injuries for both adults and children, specialising in brain injury claims and other serious injury and fatal cases.  He has achieved life changing compensation payments for many of his clients, often exceeding £5m.

RSM’s head of financial due diligence for the Northern region Stephen Green has formally joined the Manchester office following investment in the team – strengthening the firm’s offering across the North.
Green has led and grown the due diligence practice across the North for the last six years. The appointment of Martin Athey to the role of due diligence director in RSM’s Leeds office has provided the opportunity for Stephen to make permanent his move to Manchester.

With more than 15 years’ experience, Green offers extensive knowledge of buy and sell side financial due diligence projects across a wide variety of sectors for private equity, corporate and banking clients, with a particular specialism in international cross border transactions.

Well, the UK’s largest independent pharmacy chain, has elevated Ben Turner to HR director following a six-month interim appointment.

Turner brings to the role 18 years of experience in learning, talent and resourcing, having worked for the last two years as part of the HR leadership team at Well.

He previously worked as head of HR at One Stop, and prior to that as learning and development lead for Tesco.

Based at Well’s headquarters in Manchester city centre, Turner is the newest member of the executive board, leading organisational design and reward, resourcing, business partnering, learning and development, engagement, shared services and payroll functions.

The key focus of his role will be the development and successful implementation of a people strategy that strengthens employee engagement and drives business growth for the Well Group, incorporating Well, Well Careplus and Bestway Medhub.

MC Vanguard Corporate Finance has strengthened its team with the appointment of Nan Zheng as it looks to generate merger and acquisition deals between companies in China and the UK.

She joins the practice as Corporate Finance Executive from the Beijing office of international accountancy group ShineWing, where she was a senior associate.

Zheng has also worked in Hong Kong and brings more than five years’ experience of the Chinese market, advising on acquisition and sale, business valuation, financial due diligence and strategy.

MC Vanguard Corporate Finance is part of Mitchell Charlesworth, a North West-based accountants and business advisors specialising in the SME sector, which has offices in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Warrington and Widnes. With the arrival of Zheng, the firm now has a team of seven corporate finance specialists working across its offices.

A native of the Chinese capital, Zheng, who studied at the University of Warwick, will be based at the Manchester office.

She said: “I’m looking forward to my new role. I was drawn by the business culture and passion for SMEs at MC Vanguard, helping the development of companies and working so closely with them.

“My experience is very much in fundraising and valuation projects. I’m also looking to use my experience of the Chinese market to help businesses in the North West, who are either already doing business with China or looking to do so.

A highly skilled sales manager with more than 17 years’ experience in the leisure and entertainment industry, 36-year-old Lee joins the team from Devon Cliffs where he has been based for the last three years.  Prior to this Lee lived overseas producing large scale events for clients including Radio One and Example.
