Insurance specialist relocates to £1.2m HQ

Insurance specialist Auger is gearing up for expansion as its ambitious growth takes off from its new £1.2m purpose-built headquarters in Wallasey.

The independent drainage and water supply pipe specialist serving the insurance industry aims to double the size of its claims department to more than 40 at its 7,000 sq ft site.

Auger currently employs more than 80 people in all including 50-plus engineers across the UK.

The company, founded in 1994, has moved to Cross Lane from its previous location at Scotia House.

David Brewster, managing director of Auger, said: “We’ve not moved very far from our previous site in Wallasey but it’s certainly a long way in terms of facilities and technology.

“We’re committed to our community, the people and the area where we have built our business. We see a great future here and it offers everything we need as we grow further. Our staff are now able to use the very latest in Cloud-based technology and our own bespoke systems to ensure we deliver for our customers, whatever it takes.

“With this investment and commitment of our staff, we want to restore the faith of customers in this part of the insurance industry and make sure we’re ready for the future.”

Auger’s teams complete drainage investigation and repair, and repair leaking underground water supply pipe systems.

The company handles drainage and water claims across the UK.
