Changing Village

Chill Factore in Greater Manchester which boasts the UK’s longest indoor real snow slope is investing £500,000 into the facility.

It will see the renovation of its Changing Village and the installation of fresh snow on its 180m slope.

The work started on May 8 and is due to complete by Friday July 7.

The four-stage project at the complex near the Trafford Centre will include the installation of a brand-new rentals desk, which hires out 130,000 pairs of skis and 70,000 snowboards annually.

A full redesign, including new flooring, will be fitted whilst the Changing Village remains fully operational.

Until Friday, May 26, the  real snow slope will be undergoing maintenance work to remove existing snow from the slope and be replaced with approximately 900 tonnes of fresh snow.

This will be completed in stages to ensure that the slope remains open as normal.
