Manchester-based Mexican food specialist Barburrito is launching its 21st outlet 12 years after opening the first UK burrito bar in Piccadilly Gardens.

This week it opens up  in the Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Sheffield.

Morgan Davies, founder and chief executive of Barburrito, said: “This is a huge milestone for Barburrito – I am thrilled to be opening our 21st store and personally excited about the future of Barburrito.

“We are absolutely passionate about serving high quality, fresh and tasty food at an affordable price and it’s great to be doing this across eleven cities in the UK now.”

“This is a huge milestone for Barburrito – I am thrilled to be opening our 21st store and am very excited to see what else the future holds for Barburrito.

“We are passionate about serving high quality, fresh and tasty food at an affordable price and it’s great to see the rest of the UK enjoys the taste of Mexico as much as we do.”

The 21st store has been a new challenge for Barburrito due to its prominent ‘island location’. The self-contained unit combines high impact branding with a slick operation and the iconic service line.

Barburrito’s freshly prepared wraps are packed full of a choice of fillings, fresh salsas and a range of extras. Inspired by the street food of Mexico, this hand held dish provides a great alternative to the standard food hall offering.

Backed by growth capital provider BGF the business has recently announced a further site acquisition in Intu Derby as it continues to expand across the UK.
