Traffic Alert: M62 now closed in both directions

The M62 is now closed in both directions following a collision between Junction 9 (Winwick and Junction 10 (M6).

The eastbound section was initially closed but the westbound carriageway at Junction 10 has now also closed.

Traffic is being diverted down the M6 southbound to turn around at Junction 21 and take the M6 northbound to re-join the M62 back at Junction 10.

Road users intending on using this section of road are advised to allow plenty of extra time for their journey.
