Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire has bolstered its team with the appointment of Simon Tramalloni as its new Merseyside operations manager.

He is based in Stagecoach’s Gillmoss depot in Liverpool where he is responsible for the day to day operations of over 400 drivers and more than 150 vehicles in the region.

Tramalloni, who has spent over 17 years with Stagecoach, started out as a trainee bus driver in Fleetwood, Lancashire. Over his career, he has risen through the ranks of the business, holding various operations management positions at Stagecoach across the UK.

He will report in to Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire managing director, Rob Jones.

Jones said: “Simon brings with him a wealth of hands-on experience and expertise from every level of the business. He is someone who already understands the business model and can immediately hit the ground running.

“Merseyside is one of our biggest regions with thousands of passengers using our services every day. I am confident that Simon will strengthen our team at Gillmoss and help us to continue to improve our service offering for all our customers.”

Stagecoach is part of Liverpool City Region’s Bus Alliance, a partnership between Liverpool’s biggest bus operators and Merseytravel. The Alliance is focussed on quality of vehicles and customer service, value for money journeys and straightforward travel from simple fare structures to easy to understand journey planning and a clear, simple bus network.

Lloyds Bank has appointed Lisa Dobson as associate director in Manchester in its Commercial Real Estate team.

Dobson joins from RBS where she led the bank’s corporate and commercial realisation team in the North of England and Scotland.  She joined RBS as graduate in 2002 and previously held posts in its real estate finance team.

In her new role, Dobson will support Lloyds Bank’s origination activity and relationships with its portfolio of privately-owned real estate clients in the North of England.

She brings additional expertise and capability to our team at a time when our lending activity in the region continues to grow.”

Law firm Farleys Solicitors has boosted its specialist personal injury department with the appointment of medical negligence expert Carlos Lopez.

Joining the firm’s Preston office, associate partner Lopez brings 22 years’ experience and a wealth of expertise to the firm’s personal injury team, as the firm continues to expand its presence across the North West.

A member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury panel and a trustee of Headway Preston and Chorley, Lope\ specialises in serious injury and medical negligence claims against hospitals, GPs, private clinics and consultants.

He has secured tens of millions of pounds for clients during his career, over a wide range of catastrophic injury cases including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and oncology cases.

Lopez is also a Law Society assessor for the Clinical Negligence and new Catastrophic Injury panel, which recognises Solicitors who have attended specialist expertise in those areas of law.

Lopez joins the firm from defendant solicitors Hempsons, having acted on behalf of hospital trusts and the NHS Litigation Authority. Prior to this, he established and led the medical negligence teams at Birchall Blackburn and Vincents Solicitors.

Emyr Kerfoot, a specialist in litigation and dispute resolution, has joined national, new-model commercial law firm Excello Law from Knights Professional Services in Chester where he was a partner heading up the dispute resolution team.

He qualified in 2004 with Pinsent Masons in Leeds before moving to Aaron & Partners in Chester and subsequently joining Knights.

Kerfoot has significant experience in shareholder and partnership disputes, general contractual, commercial and property disputes, and also professional negligence matters.  In addition, Kerfoot regularly advises on insolvency matters, both corporate and personal. He has extensive experience of conditional fee agreements, and the funding of litigation generally.

Kerfootwill be based at Excello Law’s new office at 1 City Place in Chester, although the firm operates a fully agile working model for its lawyers, giving them the freedom to choose when, where and how they work.
