Cornish stepping down at LJLA

Andrew Cornish, has resigned from his position as chief executive at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, and will leave at the end of June.

Cornish joined the Airport Company in September 2014 and has overseen a successful period for LJLA, with annual passenger numbers rising from four million in 2014 to nearly five million today, the airport said.

A statement read: “Significant investments have been made over the past two years in improved passenger facilities and customer service standards, with survey results showing that Liverpool is now delivering some of the highest levels of customer satisfaction against many other comparable UK and European airports.

“Andrew leaves the business in a sound position and the Airport Company would like to thank him for his contribution to the business and wishes him well in his next venture.”

The Airport company will start the process of replacing Cornish in due course.
