New retail art gallery launching in city

A new retail art gallery is to open in Liverpool.

Boasting 2,636sq ft of prime retail space, the state-of-the-art Castle Fine Art gallery will open next Saturday (July 1) on Church Alley opposite the Bluecoat, in the heart of the city centre.

The Church Alley gallery is Castle Fine Art’s first site in Liverpool and joins its portfolio of 34 galleries across the UK as it continues its rapid nationwide expansion.

After nearly two months of renovation work, the building, which was formerly occupied by clothing retailer, Taking Shape, underwent a custom refit to offer the ultimate customer experience for visitors to the gallery.

A bespoke lighting system and specially designed viewing room have been put in place to complement the wide range of art on display, which includes work by some of the art scene elite, from Bob Dylan to Ronnie Wood and Raphael Mazzucco.

The new gallery will be managed by Gordon Farmer, who is returning to his home city of Liverpool after a successful stint at Castle Fine Art in York to oversee the day to day operations of the gallery and assist customers wanting to learn more about the artwork on offer.
