Hall Brown poaches senior lawyer from Slater and Gordon

Claire Reid

Family law specialist Hall Brown has poached a senior associate from Slater and Gordon.

Claire Reid becomes Hall Brown’s twelfth fee earner and its nineteenth member of staff since it opened its doors in April last year.

Managing partner James Brown indicated that further expansion was imminent as Hall Brown lived up to its promise to deliver a “premier service” to clients.

“I worked with Claire at Pannone, which used to boast the North West’s number one family law team.

“She is an incredibly capable, likeable and experienced lawyer who adds yet more depth to the team which we’ve been fortunate to assemble in little over a year in business.
“Our intention is not to add numbers for the sake of it but bring in individuals of considerable calibre who can enhance what we do.

“By holding to those very high standards, we have certainly been able to grow the business but, more importantly, we have found ourselves asked to work on a wide variety of very interesting and challenging cases both in the UK and much further afield.”

He added: “Having been lucky to bring Claire on board, we expect to make additional appointments of lawyers with similar tier one backgrounds in the months to come as we continue striving to better how we can support clients and progress the business as a result.”

Reid joins Hall Brown after what Brown described as a “fabulous” first year, in which it posted turnover of £1.3m.
