£13m-turnover stainless steel firm in MBO

Stainless steel supplier and processor BS Stainless has completed a management buyout.

The £13m turnover business is headquartered in Preston and operates primarily in the construction, architecture, oil & gas and transportation sectors.

Established in 1998, it offers strip, coil, metal jacketing solutions, steel wire, sheets, plates, blanks and banding.

Brian Shaw who co-founded the business said: “We have a great team here, who all work hard to satisfy our long term relationships with clients and provide the quality service for which we are well known. Our aim is to continue to grow these relationships into the future”.

Mazars Corporate Finance and a team from law firm Brabners, led by Robert Street and Tony Harper, advised management. Funding was provided by Leumi ABL with ongoing banking support from Allied Irish Bank (GB).
