Oktoberfest set to return to Albert Hall

Following the success of Oktoberfest at Albert Schloss in 2016, Manchester’s Albert Hall is set to host a weekend dedicated to the popular event.

As well as a three-week long celebration taking place at Albert Schloss, the Albert Hall has added a date to the city’s beer calendar in the form of Oktoberfestival.

Taking place in September, the event will take place at the same time as the original Oktoberfest in Munich and will also star all of the official Munich festival biers.

As well as world class beers and lederhosen, the event will also feature an impressive music line-up to celebrate the venue which has been voted the best live music in Manchester for the last three years.

From Marshall Jefferson to Norman Jay to Tim Burgess (DJ Set), more than 30 artists will perform at four Bier Halle sessions including ‘Bier Hall Soul Musik’ on Friday Night and ‘MCR HAUS’ on Saturday night.

The hall will be pouring the largest selection of the limited-edition Oktoberfest beers, something rarely found outside Germany, including Paulaner, Hofbrau and Hacker Pschorr, which are usually the reserve of the Munich festival.

The event will also feature authentic Bavarian Bier tents and the Wurst Olympics.

Oktoberfestival takes place on September 15- 17, 2017.
