Styles&Wood appointed to £25m Government estates revamp framework

Styles&Wood, the Greater Manchester-based integrated property services and project delivery firm, has been appointed as one of nine partners to help the Government with its major estate reorganisation programme.

The Sale-headquartered group has been selected under Lot 2 of the Fit-Out Framework for the Government Hubs Programme to deliver Northern projects up to a value of £25m.

The programme is designed to reshape the Government’s office estate from about 800 buildings to around 200 by 2023, comprising 18 to 22 strategic hubs across the UK, located in major city centre conurbations.

The framework partners will help to deliver the Government’s strategy of redesigning, reshaping and reducing its estate to achieve better value for money and to deliver enhanced services, say Styles&Wood.

Chief executive Tony Lenehan said: “We are delighted to have been selected by the Government to help implement what is a radical estate transformation programme, running over the course of seven years.

“While there is no guaranteed minimum allocation associated with the framework, this appointment further demonstrates the strength of our business model, the technical capabilities of our people and our experience in delivering complex frameworks projects on this scale.”
