Manchester clubs spend big as Premier League set to break record

With a month to go until the end of the summer transfer window, Premier League clubs are set to break last year’s £1.1bn spending record, with the Manchester teams contributing more than a third of the total to date. The current window has seen £910m worth of deals made, with City and United’s spending accounting for nearly £350m.
