Knight Frank appointed on Exchange Quay

THE commercial team at Knight Frank, Manchester, has been appointed joint letting agent on the Exchange Quay estate at Salford Quays.

The scheme provides around 500,000sq ft over eight buildings as well as on-site amenities including a café, crèche, post office and convenience store.

It was acquired by funds advised by Ekistics Property Advisors LLP in June and is asset managed by Hunter Real Estate Investment Management, who have been operating the estate since 2012.

Knight Frank partner Mark Bamber said: “We are excited to be involved in one of Salford Quay’s most successful office destinations. Ekistics will shortly be creating some exciting new refurbished space as well as making further enhancements to the on-site amenity and community offering.”

Jeremy Birkett-Jones, investment director at Hunter said: “Occupiers are becoming much more sophisticated in their requirements, with staff welfare becoming one of their main priorities. Exchange Quay is well positioned to benefit from this, with excellent car parking provision, its own dedicated Metrolink station and comprehensive on site and local amenities.

“The enhancements that Ekistics are looking to implement will further cement Exchange Quay’s position as one of Salford Quay’s premier office destinations.”

Canning O’Neil is the joint letting agents.
