Law firm Ward Hadaway has said that revenue from its Manchester office “continues to rise” as its group income for the year held steady at just short of £36m.

The firm, which employs more than 450 people across the North, saw revenue from its Manchester office increase by 9% in the year to the end of April 2017.

Ward Hadaway, which also has offices in Leeds and Newcastle, has seen 26% growth over the last 10 years and reports that work volumes across the firm rose by 3% during the past year.

Jamie Martin, Ward Hadaway managing partner, said: “We are delighted to see the investment in our Manchester office paying off with revenues again rising this year.

“The office was opened in 2012 and has made increasingly significant contributions to the overall success of the firm ever since.

“We are very content that overall income remains steady across all the firm in what was a somewhat difficult year for the British economy.

“Uncertainties caused by Brexit and the political situation in a number of countries including our own have affected the legal market place and so to be able to report a 3% increase in volume is a more than satisfactory outcome.”
