TSK to create new Kellogg’s HQ at MediaCityUK

Kellogg's MediaCity HQ

Cereal giant Kellogg’s has appointed workplace specialist TSK to create its new UK headquarters in MediaCityUK in Manchester.

The 46,000sq ft design and build over three floors will provide Kellogg’s with a new space.

TSK will be responsible for the entire fit-out from workspace planning and design to furniture procurement and assisting with employee engagement.

The company’s design teams will consider tools and technologies to help the cereal giant’s change its work culture – considering employee demographic, best practice for flexible working and how to utilise the new open plan office space.

The appointment comes as last month Kellogg’s confirmed the relocation of its 420 UK office employees from its Old Trafford HQ – where it has resided since the 1990s – to Orange Tower, MediaCityUK. The company will share the building with Salford University and ITV from January, 2018.

Andy Burke, director for TSK said: “We are thrilled to be appointed on this important relocation project for Kellogg’s, creating a fantastic, rejuvenated headquarters for them to continue to thrive.

“The company has a strong history here in Manchester which we are reflecting in the designs, to create a space that will balance bringing their brand to life whilst providing an energised environment to support their people and culture change journey.

“This appointment is testament to TSK’s passion and commitment in creating effective workspaces to enhance businesses.”

Kellogg’s headquarters currently houses people who run the company’s UK and Irish sales and marketing business as well as support functions for its European operations, including those involved in research, food development, marketing, sales, human resources and finance. All will be relocated to MediaCityUK.

Kellogg’s UK and Ireland managing director, Dave Lawlor, said: “While we arrived in the UK in the early 1920s, our foods and brands remain a staple of British life.

“So our partnership with TSK is all about creating a progressive workplace which reflects where we’ve come from – but more importantly – our ambition for our business in the future, all wrapped up in a new workplace to help us build a new culture.

“Our Old Trafford HQ has served us really well for nearly three decades. But it’s now time to move to a new location which better reflects where we are heading as a company.”
