Evoke Creative bags £2m finance for growth

Evoke Creative, which designs and makes digital kiosks, interactive displays, ticketing and check-in machines for businesses including JD Sports Fashion, Google, McDonald’s and Tesco, has received £2m finance package from HSBC.

The £10m turnover company has seen 40% growth over the last four years and will be moving its 60 staff into new 30,000 sq ft headquarters at Wirral International Business Park later this year.

The £2m commercial loan will significantly enhance Evoke Creative’s cash flow, enabling the company to buy higher volumes of components for the bespoke kiosks it creates for its internationally-recognised client base.

Evoke exports its tailor-made kiosks and digital signage to customers in over 40 countries around the world. As part of the company’s growth plan, it is aiming to increase its reach and has a specific focus on the US.

Dave Derby, managing director of Evoke, said: “One of the reasons we chose to work with HSBC on this deal is because of the bank’s strong business network in the States. It is a market we are keen to break into and we believe that with this funding, combined with HSBC’s local business knowledge, we will be able to realise this goal much sooner.

“The funding also gives us flexibility. If we are to continue servicing our current client base, meeting high volume demands, we need the capital to be able buy components and man power up front in order to keep our capacity and order turnover efficient. This also puts us in an advantageous position in terms of reaching new clients too.”

Barry Millar, HSBC’s area director for Liverpool & Cheshire, said: “Evoke Creative has a proven track record of strategic growth and we are excited to see how the company implements this funding to continue its ambitious objectives both here in the UK and overseas.”
