A trio of high-profile directors from the Liverpool office of LSH have joined rival property consultant Eddisons in the latest stage of the firm’s ongoing expansion and investment in senior staff.

David Baker, who led both the LSH Liverpool office and its valuations team, along with fellow valuations director Steven Grindley, and agency director Robert Diggle, have all made the move to Eddisons in a departure which sees Eddisons significantly strengthen its presence on Merseyside.

Baker has more than 25 years’ experience in the North West, providing valuation and strategic advice to banks, property companies and others as well as giving development appraisal advice to property developers, while Grindley, with more than 35 years’ commercial property valuation experience in the North, is a specialist in the education and charity sectors.

Diggle also joins Eddisons with upwards of two decades of commercial property experience. All three were directors at ES Group in Liverpool prior to its takeover by LSH in 2015.

The new Liverpool directors come on board just months after ex-JLL head Mark Stupples was announced as a new non-executive board member at Eddisons.

His appointment followed the firm’s acquisition of auctioneer Pugh & Co in 2016 and of national property and business valuation practice Taylors – now Eddisons Taylors – a year earlier.

Anthony Spencer, head of banking and valuations at Eddisons, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome three talented surveyors to Eddisons in Liverpool. With a great reputation in the city and across the North West, between them they have built up over 75 years of property industry experience.

“They bring a wealth of expertise to our valuations and agency teams at a time when we are extending our reach across the UK. The announcement supports our wider growth plans and enhances our ability to offer unrivalled regional knowledge on a national scale.”

Eddisons’ property team, which employs more than 200 people, now includes more than 50 chartered surveyors working across 14 UK offices.
