Manchester-based law firm Glaisyers, whose focus is on the SME market, has announced a 10% increase in its revenue to £4.3m.

The St James’ Square firm, led by joint managing partners Nicholas Johnson and Harvey Cohen, says the revenue hike is largely a result of growth in commercial property, commercial litigation and private client.

Johnson said: “The firm has made a concerted effort to train new and existing fee earners to operate on a more commercial basis enabling them to look after both our clients’ businesses and our own.

“Our full service offering for SMEs, owner managed businesses and their directors means we are building a loyal local client base. This, combined with a clear marketing strategy, puts us in a strong position for further growth over the next 12 months.”

He continued: “We are pleased with the level of organic growth over the last year. It is testament to the teams’ collective efforts and common focus to deliver the best level of quality professional services to SME’s across the region as efficiently as possible.”

The company recently hired insolvency specialist of 15 years standing Alison Butler and senior solicitor Sandra Crichton, who has more than 20 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions.

Johnson added: “We’re delighted to welcome Alison and Sandra to the team, they both bring exceptional and valuable experience to the business which they will bring to bear for our clients. The appointments and continued investment in the firm underpins our commitment to providing the best legal advice to SMEs across the North West. We are looking forward to a prosperous next 12 months.”
