Cheshire-based insurance brokerage Offley Insurance Services has been bought by Leicester  rival, Erskine Murray.

This news comes shortly after Erskine Murray appointed two new Board members to join its senior executive team to steer the business forward.

Tom Bartleet, chief executive at Erskine Murray, said: “We are delighted that Peter and his strong team at Offley Insurance have chosen to join our business.

“Offley Insurance is a well-run and highly regarded business in the North West, which is set to significantly boost our presence in the region and extend our support for our existing customers.

“Their business is a perfect fit for us as we continue to invest and look for the right opportunities to grow. We’re excited about what the region has to offer and what we can offer new and existing clients. It is therefore an important acquisition for us, as part of our expansion and growth plans over the next three years.”

Alan Wheeler, commercial drector at Erskine Murray, added: “The premise behind our investment in Offley Insurance is to boost our regional presence throughout the UK and continue to grow through local acquisitions of well established and quality brokers.

“It is a saturated market, therefore building alliances will enable us to bolster our service offering and increase our reach. Our strength is our customer focus and we have developed several specialisms over the last 12-months, as well as invested in technology in order to stay ahead of the ever evolving market demands and customer needs.”
