Neville to star as keynote speaker at CBI dinner

The Point

Business leaders from across the region will be attending next month’s CBI autumn North West annual dinner where footballer-turned-property mogul Gary Neville will be the star turn.

The former Manchester United and England fullback, and now Sky football pundit as well as owner of co-owner of Salford City FC is the keynote speaker at the event which takes place at Lancashire County Cricket Club venue The Point on Thursday, November 16.

In addition, David Schneider, perhaps best-known for refusing Alan Partridge’s pitch for Monkey Tennis, will be the after dinner speaker.

Schneider has appeared in The Day Today, Friday Night Armistice, Uncle Max and Horrid Henry the Movie, and much more.

He now also finds time to run a social media consultancy. With 140,000 followers on Twitter, Schneider and his colleagues at thatlot.co.uk advise clients on digital campaigns and targeted virals, how to use social media effectively and the best way to handle instant response campaigns.

Schneider also edits the ‘Pics and Vids’ section of the Huffington Post, where he blogs about football and politics, among other things. He can occasionally be seen reviewing the papers on Sky.

The evening, which includes a two-course dinner and networking dessert buffet, provides a platform for business leaders and key stakeholders from across the region to come together.
