People on the move: CBRE; Browne Jacobson; Forbes Solicitors

Bob Dyson

One of Manchester’s property advisers, Bob Dyson, has joined the Manchester office of CBRE as a consultant.

He brings his 35-year career expertise to the property firm’s public and private sector client base.

Formerly chairman of JLL North West and industry development advisor, Dyson’s high-profile career has seen him play a key role in bringing forward some of Manchester’s most significant developments.

At CBRE, Dyson will be drawing on his extensive market knowledge to work alongside senior figures to offer unrivalled strategic land and development advice to CBRE’s public and private sector client base.

National legal firm Browne Jacobson has appointed Jonathan Edwards as the head of its Manchester banking and finance team as the firm continues to bolster its growing practice in the North West.

Edwards, who held the position of national head of banking at DWF since 2010, brings with him more than 26 years’ experience in the industry covering all banking and finance disciplines.

During his career, Edwards advised on a range of banking matters from acquisition finance and leveraged finance to asset-based lending and he has acted on some of the largest financing transactions in the North West in recent years.

With Edwards’s arrival, the firm’s banking practice will now have four partners nationally.

This is the first in a series of significant commercial appointments Browne Jacobson is looking to make in the North West, as the firm plans to expand its operations in Manchester.

Associate Ben Wilson has joined Forbes Solicitors specialising in disputes arising from contesting wills, trusts, probate and inheritance matters.

Wilson, who is based at the firm’s Preston office, acts for clients on a national and international basis and deals with a range of high value and complex claims.
He is an associate member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists and is a recommended lawyer in the latest edition of Legal 500.

Wilson said: “I am excited to have started at Forbes, and am looking forward to working with the team.”
