People on the move: Cushman & Wakefield; BellyFlop TV; Now Healthcare Group

Commercial property and real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its Manchester planning team following the appointment of Olivia Hewitt as graduate town planning consultant.

Hewitt studied at Newcastle University on an RTPI and RICS accredited programme, gaining a Master of Planning degree. As part of her course, she completed a placement year at consultancy, WYG in Milton Keynes.

In her new role she will be directly supporting the Manchester town planning team in the preparation and submission of planning applications, planning appraisals, development plan and planning application representations, and general planning and strategy advice

Hewitt will report to Andy Teage, partner and head of town planning for Cushman & Wakefield’s Manchester office and joins Rhian Davitt-Jones, senior consultant, and Claire Pegg, who has also recently been promoted to the position of senior consultant.

Teage said: “Olivia’s appointment is a clear sign of the success that the Cushman & Wakefield town planning team in Manchester is enjoying, and the commitment of the wider business to the growth of the national town planning skill line.”

Stockport-based video production company BellyFlop TV has expanded its workforce and taken on two new clients thanks to advisory support from Business Growth Hub, part of The Growth Company.

BellyFlop TV was set up in 2008 and specialises in corporate videos and photography, including 360-degree internal photography tours of businesses which can then be directly linked through to Google Street Maps.

The company also still produces some broadcast television, including Holiday of my Lifetime with Len Goodman on BBC1 and Secret Life of the Family for Channel 5.

Having created 2,000 videos in its nine-year history, BellyFlop TV’s management wanted to increase the capacity of the company and grow its workforce.

Joshua Owens, who is working towards a Level 3 advanced apprenticeship in creative and digital media, was recruited via learning Unlimited on behalf of Chesterfield College.

Owens said: “I’d really like to continue working with BellyFlop TV once the apprenticeship finishes.”

Jonathan Robinson, BellyFlop TV’s managing director said: “Given how well things have gone with Josh, and the positive impact he’s had on the business, I will certainly be open to hiring another apprentice in the future.”

Europe’s largest digital healthcare provider the Now Healthcare Group (NHG) has boosted its senior team and brought in Lisa Wood as head of communications following a successful period of growth for the MediaCityUK-based business.

In only three years since launching, the NHG has disrupted the digital health market with its innovative tech and digital solutions.

Wood, who has most recently been working as a freelance communications consultant, has extensive experience in communications and brand building and spent 8 years delivering creative communications and marketing for The Peel Group on the MediaCityUK development.

Wood said: “The digital health industry is of huge importance to improving our physical and mental health and I am thrilled to be working in such a pioneering business and sector. The vision and plans for the NHG are radical and I look forward to helping them build their brand and share their ground-breaking stories.”
