Pochin’s to deliver £6.5m double build at agriculture college

Property and construction specialist Pochin’s is to carry out two new projects at the Cheshire agricultural college Reaseheath totalling £6.5m.

The work at the side in Nantwich includes the delivery of a 20,000sq ft Agri-Tech Centre.

It includes a single-storey workshop block and neighbouring two-storey teaching block that will include classrooms, a showroom/workshop and offices, alongside a specialist plant room.

In addition to the Agri-Tech Centre, Pochin’s will build a 16,000sq ft multi-purpose sports hall building with space for up to five different sports courts and trampoline activities.

It provides changing facilities for the college’s new 3G pitch and new teaching areas include specialist sports science facilities.The sports hall has also been designed to cater for exams, presentations and community events.

Jim Nicholson, chief executive at Middlewich, Cheshire-based Pochin’s, said: “Having worked on a number of projects at Reaseheath College over the years, we have seen first hand the development of the Cheshire site into a world class education institution.

The projects are part funded by the Cheshire & Warrington Local Enterpise Partnership through the growth deal programme.

Work starts this month and is expected to complete in May, 2018.
