Moneypenny recruits as expansion continues

Moneypenny, the Wrexham-headquartered telephone answering specialist, has doubled its key account management team during 2017 and is further recruiting from across the North West for its fast growing business development department.

Claire Smith, from Manchester, joined the company in January 2017 with a wealth of commercial experience.

She qualified as a solicitor before moving into business development specialising in the legal sector at Moneypenny.

Smith said: “Moneypenny has continued  to have substantial growth in the Live Chat and digital fields  and it has further established its position as the world’s  leading provider of telephone answering, outsourced switchboard, Live Chat and customer contact solutions .

“With major contracts on board, it is exciting times and I am relishing the challenges and opportunities ahead to help to further grow the business and our team here and develop our reputation across different disciplines.”

Joanna Swash

Joanna Swash, the managing director of Moneypenny, will be speaking at TheBusinessDesk.com’s Business Women’s Lunch tomorrow at Ibérica Spinningfields.

Swash recruited as Moneypenny’s first sales person 13 years ago – today she is managing director of a business that has grown to employ more than 550 people and turnover £25m.

The company, which has seen 20% year-on-year growth, appointed an M&A and strategy director a year ago – a sign of things to come as it looks to further ramp up growth.

Swash, who took over as MD in October last year having previously been commercial director, will talk through her own career journey and how she grew with the business she is so passionate about.
