Struggling conservatory roofing firm sold in pre-pack deal

A conservatory roofing specialist in Greater Manchester has been sold in an accelerated pre-pack deal after entering administration.

Phil Coppell Ltd, based in Radcliffe near Bury, had a turnover of nearly £13m in the year to March 31, 2016, but made a pre-tax loss of more than £96,000.

Then, the company employed 107 staff. It is understood that as a result of the deal negotiated by FRP Advisory’s Preston office, the company has now become Coppell Building Products Ltd and is continuing to trade, saving 20 jobs.

The administrators were David Acland and LilaThomas.

Both the company and FRP Advisory declined to comment.
