Salford-based IT Services and Solutions provider LIMA is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a raft of new contract wins valued at more than £5.5m.

The recent IT infrastructure and support appointments, include contracts with Southway Housing Trust, JMW Solicitors, Hertfordshire Police and the Midlands and Lancashire Support Unit, which will help underpin the business’s growth plans to reach £20m-plus turnover and employ more than 100 people by 2020.

Since its inception in 1997, LIMA has solved business challenges by designing and delivering intelligent solutions covering the full IT portfolio including data centre, cloud, managed services as well as security and performance monitoring solutions.

Operating across the UK, the company currently employs 65 people and has recently recruited 17 new members of staff throughout several departments.

Chief executive Lisa Thornton said: “For the past 20 years, we have been at the forefront of adopting and understanding technology and how intelligent IT can transform businesses.

“Our tailored, customer centric approach to IT is unique in the marketplace and our continued success is testament to how we work hard to understand a client’s challenges or objectives. A one size fits all approach is not our style and ultimately doesn’t deliver results.”

She continued: “The business underwent a rebrand earlier this year and it very much demonstrated, not only our innovative and progressive nature but more importantly reminded us of the added value we give clients goes beyond the technology.”

LIMA’s current clients include WM Housing, Brabners LLP, JMW Solicitors, University of South Manchester, AJ Bell, M24Seven and Peel Holdings, to name but a few.

Thornton added: “Being in a male dominated industry has had its challenges over the years, however you win respect through results and hard work.

“Building a talented team of wonderful people has been my greatest business achievement so far. Our senior management and staff all share my passion to provide an exceptional level of service.

“We are a ‘people’ business first and foremost and they are all instrumental in our ambitious growth plans. I am very much looking forward to seeing what our next 20 years has in store.”

As part of its CSR commitment and 20th year celebrations, LIMA is supporting and has raised donations via a charity raffle and internal company events for Age UK Salford and PAPYRUS, the national charity for the prevention of young suicide.
