LJLA’s Paul Winfield with easyJet’s Ali Gayward celebrating the news of the three new routes from Liverpool for next Summer.

Airline easyJet is to operate three new routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) next summer, with departures to Dalaman in Turkey, Palermo in Sicily and Pula in Croatia

The new routes mean easyJet now flies to 31 destinations from Liverpool and is expected to fly around 20,000 passengers between Liverpool and these new destinations next summer.

The new routes will operate twice a week from July 28.

easyJet has seen sustained expansion at LJLA in recent months having launched its first flight to Venice last month and announced an additional Airbus A320 aircraft to be based at Liverpool for next summer – its eighth aircraft to be based here.

In October, easyJet celebrated 20 years of operations at Liverpool and have carried over 40 million passengers on routes to and from Liverpool to date.

Ali Gayward, easyJet UK country manager, said: “This announcement today highlights our commitment to providing affordable routes to summer holiday destinations. We’re sure that they will prove extremely popular with passengers.

“Whether our customers want the guaranteed sunshine of Dalaman and Pula or soak up the rich history and Mediterranean coastline of Sicily, we expect all our new routes to be especially popular with passengers and it also underlines our commitment to LJLA.”
