Law firm makes move for further growth

Law firm Clarke Wilmott is relocating to larger offices in Manchester city centre to enable further growth of the business.

The firm has taken 5,793sq ft on the seventh floor of 55 Spring Gardens on a ten year lease.

OBI Property acted on behalf of Clarke Willmott, currently located at 19 Spring Gardens, in the move to larger space.

The deal to Clarke Willmott follows the purchase of the building by Aviva Investors in August 2017.

Roy Crozier, head of Clarke Willmott’s Manchester office, said: “The move to larger offices demonstrates our commitment to servicing our clients in Manchester and the North West and our growing success in winning work across all sectors.”

Christian Anderton, Aviva Investors, said: “The deal represents the first since our recent acquisition and sets a new benchmark in terms of perceived market rent for that space.

“As we look to move the asset forward, we remain encouraged by the depth of occupational interest, particularly amongst the tech and wider start-up community, with whom we are excited to continue building new relationships. These will shortly be further supported by the launch of market leading resident amenity and activation programme.”
