Lazy Lizard opens at the Printworks after fit-out

Lazy Lizard

A bar and late-night music venue which brings the spirit of Ibiza to Manchester’s Printworks has opened following a fit-out by leisure sector specialist Medlock FRB.

Lazy Lizard launched with a party featuring platinum-selling DJ Erick Morillo following a seven-figure investment by its owner, MAD Ltd Group.

With a capacity of 800, Lazy Lizard is the largest venue in MAD Ltd Group’s growing portfolio.

Medlock undertook a 10-week refurbishment of the premises over two floors, creating an Ibiza-inspired leisure destination which includes a 200-capacity VIP mezzanine area with luxury booths and table service.

The venue has been designed to resemble a Balearic nightclub, with a host of Spanish-style features including the décor and planted walls.

It is Medlock’s fourth project for MAD Ltd Group following the fit-outs of Walrus, Tusk and Infamous Diner.

MAD Ltd Group’s other bars and restaurants across Greater Manchester include Hula, Rosylee and The Fitzgerald. The Lazy Lizard takes its number of venues to nine.

Andy Dunster, managing director of Medlock said: “We’re very happy to work once again with the team at MAD, delivering another prestigious venue to Manchester’s leisure scene.

“MAD is focused on ensuring all of its customers enjoy a fantastic experience and I’m sure Lazy Lizard will become a premium leisure destination in the city.”
