MVP Vehicle Solutions gets into fast lane with VR Group

Prestige car sales specialist VR Group has taken a shareholding in Manchester-headquartered rival MVP Vehicle Solutions to create a £50m turnover company.

MVP has a presence in Bury, Manchester, Stoke and Leeds while VR Group has sites in Warrington, Chester and Leigh, near Wigan, and has expanded thanks to £6m of funding from Energise Capital, Alphera Financial Services and VR directors.

MVP is a specialist in vehicle funding and social media lead generation and recently moved into a new multi-million pound head office.

It currently has 80,000 customers having undergone rapid growth in 2017.

VR Group managing director Martin Rylands said: “We are delighted to join forces with MVP as we share the same cultures regarding customer satisfaction along with the very best vehicles and funding solutions throughout the UK for our valued customers.

“With the additional volume created by the investment in MVP our customers will benefit from even better solutions for funding.”

A statement released on behalf of MPV directors Mark Cramner, Val Gill and Phil Atherton said: “We welcome the investment from VR bringing two companies together that boast unique qualities and cutting-edge technology.

“Now covering both ends of the second-hand car market enabling the group to offer an end to end supply of vehicles that range from a Ford to a Ferrari with the best funding available anywhere in the country.”

VR group will continue to concentrate on the sale of elite, prestige supercars, stocking more than 250 cars. With MVP’s stock of vehicles this will increase to more than 500 giving the customer even more high quality used vehicles to choose from with a vast array of funding solutions, the company said.

VR Group chairman Steve Hibbert said: “Both companies share excellent compliance procedures and attention to detail to customer satisfaction.

“With their modern thinking and latest technology, the group’s turnover will increase to over £50m through seven sites bringing lots of job opportunities for likeminded individuals in the North of England.
