Training provider set for expansion with HQ move

Training Strategies, the skills provider which works with brands including Heinz, HMRC and Royal Mail, is expanding its operations with a move to new Liverpool headquarters.

The company has acquired a site in Oriel Road, Bootle which will create up to 20 jobs and over 30 apprenticeship positions.

The 6,000 sq ft office will accommodate its existing 120 staff currently based in Stopgate Lane, and enable the company to cater for additional learners who enrol onto its courses.

Training Strategies, which celebrates its 10th birthday this year, specialises in the delivery of apprenticeships and programmes for unemployed people. It is also a key player in helping local and national businesses grow by offering an array of bespoke courses that can be delivered in the workplace.

Training Strategies’ apprenticeships manager Barry Dunne said: “We are really excited about the new unit and our expansion. Since our inception in 2008, we have had a successful period in North Liverpool but the time has come to move to pastures new. Now that we have more space, it means we have the capacity to take on additional staff to support the growing numbers of young people we are putting on apprenticeship programmes.

“Demand for our on-site employment courses is also growing rapidly so hopefully we can be responsible for upskilling workforces across Merseyside. Our ambition is for individuals to secure high-skill, high-wage jobs which will help boost the Liverpool City Region economy.”
