Weekender: Boutique development launched in fashionable village

How the Gatley development will look

Salford-based LPC Living has launched a new boutique development of just 26 new homes in the heart of Gatley village on the outskirts of Stockport.

Set within a private gated road and centred around an attractive landscaped green, the development includes a mix of three and four-bedroom townhouses, semi-detached and detached homes from about 1,000 sq ft through to 1,372 sq ft.

Simon Ashdown, director of LPC Living said: “We have created a unique development with houses designed to offer flexibility, with light contemporary interiors.

“It is hoped these will equally appeal to first time buyers, young families and people wanting to downsize from larger homes in the area.

“With the added benefit of Help to Buy available on all plots and many plots being stamp duty exempt for first time buyers, The Oaks Gatley is especially suited for people looking to buy their first home.”

According to Ashdown, Gatley is fast becoming one of Greater Manchester’s most sought-after areas, with an excellent selection of local amenities including independent coffee shops, restaurants and bars.

The architect for The Oaks is Bury-based Ratcliffe Groves Partnership and the construction is being undertaken by Salford’s Dreamspace Construction.

Work on site commenced in 2017 and all homes are scheduled for completion in Summer 2018. The development is being partly funded by Greater Manchester Housing Fund.

Prices in the first phase start from £275,000 for a three-bedroom townhouse.
