Douglas Scott on track for £10m revenue

Douglas Scott, the Manchester-headquartered legal recruitment firm, is on track to hit £10m turnover in the next three as it celebrates a landmark year.

Following a 12 months which saw the firm reach revenue of £6m, the business has announced that it is on target to reach £10m as the business continues grow, expanding its client base throughout the country and continuing to strengthen its team with the recruitment industry’s most talented professionals.

Founded in 2004 by managing director Kathryn Riley, the legal recruitment expert benefits from a network of connections spanning local, regional, national and international law firms.

It also has a specialist ‘in-house’ desk, finding the most talented legal counsel for a wide range of companies, from FTSE businesses through to Silicon Valley technology companies.

Douglas Scott also acts for legal professionals at all levels, helping individuals to find new positions to take their career forward.

Riley, said: “Douglas Scott has been on a real journey during the past decade, providing specialist legal industry insight and challenging our more established competitors with our unique approach. There’s no doubt it has been a success story to date but we’re never happy standing still.”

Growth plans have been backed in bricks and mortar as the 53-strong team recently took residence in the landmark No.1 Spinningfields.

The firm has also marked this next chapter with an investment in a rebrand and a new website due to launch early March.

Riley continued: “Everything we do is market-leading and our new base at No.1 has really cemented that position. We have been preparing for this next phase of growth for some time and with the groundwork now in place, we’re on firm foundations to exceed that £10m milestone.”
