People on the move: Linden Homes; Tower Hotel Management; Trunk; Gallagher

Housing developer Linden Homes has promoted Mollie Tomlinson to field sales manager, following a successful three years with the business.

Tomlinson, who previously held a sales executive role, will now be responsible for overseeing the sales of all Linden Homes North West schemes, with five sites currently in development.

Her new role, based at Innovation House at Birchwood near Warrignton, will see Tomlinson drive sales of the company’s new homes, as well as using the knowledge and experience gained through working on site in marketing suites at Linden Homes’ New Brunswick and St Augustine’s developments to support to sales executives across the region.

She said: “During my time with Linden Homes, it’s been hugely rewarding to help people find their dream homes, whether they’re first time buyers, growing families or someone looking to downsize.

“Linden Homes has grown considerably in the North West during my time working with them and there’s now such a wide range of sites across the North West at all stages of development, that I’m looking forward to helping even more house hunters in my new role.”

Manchester-based Tower Hotel Management has appointed Simon Bullough as development director as the company expands its growing portfolio of hotel contracts across the UK.

Bullough brings more than 30 years’ experience in the hotel industry including Best Western Hotels, Ramada and most recently Choice Hotels Europe, where he was responsible for developing franchise representation in the UK.

He said: “I’m excited to be joining Tower Hotel Management as it gears up for growth in the UK hotel management contract sector. The team offers a wealth of hotel operating experience and with access to an unrivalled range of in-house support services as part of The Peel Group, we are well placed to expand our contract business.”

Tower Hotel Management currently operates six award-winning hotels under various international brands including Hampton by Hilton, Holiday Inn, plus the recently launched Holiday Inn Express Manchester – TraffordCity, the North West’s first ‘modular’ hotel.

Manchester-based content agency Trunk has appointed ex-Matmi director Nathan Broadbent to head of creative technology, as the agency continues to expand its technical capabilities.

Broadbent brings years of experience in games development, gamification and mobile app development to the Ancoats-based agency, and counts Playstation, Alton Towers and Barclays as previous clients.

He has also been working at the forefront of the most advanced emerging technologies including; augmented reality, virtual reality and immersive experiences, iBeacons, near field communication (NFC) protocols and radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology.

Adam Britton, managing director of Trunk, said: “We’re working in such a fast-paced environment, it’s crucial that our technical competency is always one step ahead. The capability of our personal devices changes on a daily basis, bringing new and innovative ways to engage customers.

Gallagher, one of the UK’s largest providers of risk management and commercial insurance solutions, has appointed James Fletcher as branch director in Manchester to support its growth agenda and continue expanding client capabilities.

Fletcher will lead the 40-strong insurance broking team — which looks after a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from some of the North-West’s largest corporate organisations through to local SME businesses — from their base on New Bailey Street.

He joins Gallagher after 10 years with insurance company QBE Europe, based in Manchester, where he most recently headed up client solutions for the North. For the past three years, this role has seen him dedicated to working closely with the insurer’s top clients in the region in order to deliver the most effective risk transfer solutions by bringing together underwriting, risk management and claims propositions across a number of business lines.

In addition to its 40-strong insurance broking team, Gallagher’s Manchester operation houses specialists in trade credit, employee benefits, wealth management, claims and compliance.

Its various branches across the North-West form part of a 50-strong UK networks of branches looking after businesses of all sizes, from SMEs through to large corporate organisations.
