Green light for Taylor Wimpey development

Acting on behalf of Taylor Wimpey, HOW Planning has successfully secured planning permission for an extensive housing development in Hyde in Greater Manchester.

The application for 79 new homes, which will be built on the site of the former Clarendon College Sixth Form Centre, has been given the go-ahead by Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, following extensive community consultation and liaison with Council Officers.

James Berggren, senior planner at HOW Planning, said: “We are delighted that the planning committee has approved the application and now much needed housing will be built in a sustainable urban location in Tameside.

“Taylor Wimpey is one of the country’s leading house builders and the he approved layout has been carefully designed to ensure that it responds positively to the character and appearance of the locality.”
