Chester-based tech recruitment specialist 3ecruit is delivering a significant increase in the export of its services with the business expanding into new markets including France, Germany, Italy and the United States.

The company, which was founded in 2014, by Jan Vandewalle with investment from recruitment industry entrepreneur Gary Dewhurst, has seen its international business activity grow from 20% of its operations to up to 80% in the past 12 months.

Launched as a specialist recruiter to support the emerging 3D technology, architecture and managed print solutions sectors, the company has established a presence in industries including TV, film and gaming, as well as automotive, medical equipment technology, aerospace, and app design.

The business has also expanded its expertise to support a key area of the 3D printing sector, which is known as additive manufacturing, which produces components for industry, but also life-changing equipment such as artificial limbs.

Its international expansion is supported by its seven-strong multi-lingual team, which have helped place a range of professionals including visual artists, application engineers and sales and marketing professionals into key roles across Europe and further afield.

3ecruit aims to further increase its export activity by targeting growing markets such as the Middle East and Australia, which are both increasing the application of 3D technology across a range of industries.

It will also increase its presence in Europe’s largest market, Germany, with the appointment of a new in-country business development consultant in 2018.

The firm plans to recruit two business development consultants based in London who will also support 3ecruit’s sister business, POSability.

Also serving the managed print solutions sector with specialist recruitment services, POSability focuses on supporting companies with candidates experienced in point of sale, printed and promotional material markets.

Jan Vandewalle said: “The 3D technology market is growing exponentially, which is creating opportunities around the world for the talented specialists we work closely with.

“In addition to placing UK talent into both domestic and international roles we are also enabling candidates from around the world to secure positions across Europe and further afield.”

He added: “This has been strengthened by our reputation in the industry among 3D technology companies that want to secure the best talent through efficient and effective processes.

“This is enabling us to expand into new regions of the world and see markets such as Australia and the Middle East as important to the continuing development of the business.”
