Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has advised on the sale of Contact Lens Precision Laboratories to Tokyo Stock Exchange listed contact lens manufacturer SEED.

Kuits corporate partner Peter Allen led the team providing a comprehensive advisory service around the sale, supported by associate Helen Mather and solicitors Ryan Brown and Sheridan Edge.

Peter Allen said: “It has been a privilege to act for long standing clients on the sale of CLPL. We were happy to be able to bring a combination of our experience of advising owner managed and SME businesses on sale processes, alongside our sector expertise in medical devices.

“This sale will enable CLPL to expand its specialty lens manufacture into the global market.”

Diane Angell, joint CEO of CLPL said: “The team at Kuits have been CLPL’s advisors for a number of years and worked tirelessly throughout the sale process.

“Their experience, guidance and diligence allowed for a smooth transaction taking CLPL onto the next chapter.”
