New housing scheme in Wigan launched

Great opportunity

A new scheme in Wigan which includes 45 new homes has been launched.

Property consultancy Knight Knox launched its 90th development, Wallgate Apartments, which is being delivered by property developer Centric Developments.

Wallgate Apartments will contain 45 homes, including studios and one and two-bedroom apartments.

Each apartment will come fully furnished with a modern fitted kitchen and bathroom suite.

The development also has allocated parking on some units.

Wallgate Apartments is in Miry Lane, around half an hour from Manchester city centre and Liverpool city centre by direct train.

Andy Phillips, commercial director at Knight Knox, said: “As the Manchester property market continues to flourish, we are happy to announce the launch of Wallgate Apartments, which boasts an enviable location in the popular Manchester and Liverpool commuter belt.

“With property prices and rents in Manchester city centre on an upward trajectory, Greater Manchester offers investors the chance to invest in the UK’s most promising rental market at a fraction of the cost.

“We anticipate that areas such as Wigan will continue to become more popular alongside the growth of Manchester, mirroring the trend of commuter town price rises around London.”

Kieran Moore, director at Centric Developments, said: “Wallgate Apartments is set to be an excellent addition to the growing commuter belt surrounding Manchester.

“The stylish apartments on offer will appeal to the great number of young professionals who are looking beyond the city centre for affordable and premium living.”

Construction starts in May and prices at Wallgate Apartments start from £79,995.
