Motorists warned to expect delays following crash on M60

Fleetsmart - Keeping track

Motorists are being warned to expect delays of up to an hour on the M60 this afternoon following a crash.

The delays follow an accident on the anti-clockwise side of the motorway.

Two lanes of the motorway have been closed following the accident between junction 15, (M61) and junction 13 at Worsley.

Traffic officers are on the scene, with specialists also attending to deal with a large diesel spillage.

Delays are currently extended back to J18 (M62, Simister Island). The delays are also affecting the M61, M66 and M62 approaches.

A police spokesman said: “Road users are advised to allow additional travel time and consider alternative routes around the Greater Manchester area.

“Updates to this incident will be posted to our dedicated Twitter feed for the region, @HighwaysNWEST.”
